Children's Choir Sings
Location: HS Church 9:30 Mass
When December 7, 2008 through February 28, 2009, 1st sunday
Description
The children's choir will be singing at the 9:30 Mass. The children's choir sings on the 1st Sunday of every month. For more information, please contact Melissa Allioti at mba3263@comcast.net.

Free Dress
Location: HSPS
When January 7, 2009
Description
Free Dress Wednesday. Those students who don't receive any checks for two weeks will receive "free dress" on certain Wednesdays.

Kindergarten Bake Sale
Location: HSPS - Recess and Lunch
When January 9, 2009
Description
The kindergarteners will be hosting their bake sale at Holy Spirit School this Friday, January 9th at morning and lunch recesses. All items are 50cents each. Please help support the kindergarten class.

Jan. 16 Early Dismissal
Location: School
When January 16, 2009
Description
School will be dismissed at 12:15pm. Extension will be open as normal.
Just a reminder that the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month will be a minimum day.

MLK Jr. Day
Location: NO School
When January 19, 2009
Description
In observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day there will be no school or extension, Monday, January 19, 2009.

Free Dress

Description

CSAC Meeting
Location: Resource Center- 7:00pm
When January 26, 2009
Description
The Catholic School Advisory Commission meeting will be held on the 3rd Monday of each month in the Father Brady Room.
The CSAC meetings are open to the parents to attend. If you would like to have something addressed during the monthly meeting it needs to be on the agenda. To have something placed on the agenda, please contact Sue Larson or Marilee Bellotti at mbellotti@hs-ps.com.

High School Placement Testings
Location: Selected High School - 8:00am

Description

High School Placement Test

The placement test for all students interested in applying for any one of the Catholic High Schools will be held on Saturday January 24, 2009 at each school. The testing begins promptly at 8am and concludes at 12:15pm. All students should arrive by 7:45am and bring two #2 pencils.

Catholic Schools Week

Sunday, January 25 - Open House

9:30 a.m. – Mass at Holy Spirit Church
10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – Open House at Holy Spirit School
Coffee and donuts at school during Open House
Book Fair begins in the library and will be open today until 12:00p.m.

Monday, January 26 – Community Day
Students may wear free dress if they bring three jars of baby food or one can of dry baby formula. Diaper drive ends. A representative from Mary house will come to school to accept diapers and baby formula. Student-made Valentine placemats will be given to Loaves and Fishes. Book Fair will be open until 5:00 p.m. daily.

Tuesday, January 27 – Students
Free dress for ALL students— No homework, no tests
An activity may be planned. Book Fair will be open until 5:00 p.m.

Wednesday, January 28 – Faculty and Staff
11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. – Luncheon for all faculty and staff
Parents will monitor the students throughout the lunch hour.
Book Fair will be open until 5:00 p.m.

Thursday, January 29 – Parents
Students bring home letter of thanks to their parents.
6:00 p.m. – Dessert Bar provided by the school. Art Show, with art from all of the students, will be exhibited in the gym. Doors will not be open until 6:00pm.
7:00 p.m. – Talent Show
Book Fair will be open until 5:00 p.m.

Friday, January 30 – Grandparents Day
9:30 a.m. – Mass at Holy Spirit School honoring grandparents
10:30 a.m. – A coffee for all grandparents in the Father Brady room
10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Grandparents visit classrooms

Annual Crab Feed
Location: Gym 6:00pm
When January 31, 2009
Price: $TBA per person
Description

Save the date of January 31st for our annual Holy Spirit Crab Feed. No host cocktails start at 6:00pm and dinner will be served at 7:00pm. Be sure to make your reservations early as there is limited seating and the tickets sell out fast. Tickets price is $TBA per person.

If you will be making reservations for a table/tables it will be your responsibility to write one check or collect checks from the members of your party. Payment for reservations is due be January 25th. For tickets, Please call Jenny Hunt at 444-7748.

Kindergarten Information Night
Location: Father Brady Room 6:30pm
When February 3, 2009
Description

Kindergarten Information Night is for all parents who are interested in having their child, who will be 5 years old by December 1, 2009, attend Holy Spirit School, . The kindergarten information night will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in the Father Brady Room at 6:30pm. please bring with you the application, copies of birth certificate, baptismal certificate and immunization records.

2009/2010 Enrollment Application

All kindergarten families will be notified of acceptance in early March.
