Important Altar Server News

There will be no altar servers needed for the 8am masses until the church has been open.  The module has been taken down. 
 
There will be no need for altar servers at the weekday masses at 8am until the church is open.  The module has been taken down.  The 8am weekday masses will resume at the church starting November 17.  If there are any changes, I will notify you.

Attention All 4th through 12th grade Students

of the Holy Spirit Parish Community

ANYONE who is in the 4th grade through 12th grade, in public school or at Holy Spirit School, is eligible to become an altar server.  We are looking for dependable altar servers who can be counted on to fulfill their duties.  This is for ANYONE who is part of the Holy Spirit community.  This is a beautiful way to support our parish community and a wonderful opportunity to assist Monsignor O’Connor.
 
Applications can be downloaded from the school website and can also be obtained at the back of the auditorium after mass.  Completed applications can be mailed to Kerry Rossi at the address below or they can be dropped in the application box at the back of the auditorium or at the Holy Spirit Parish rectory.  Please make sure that applications are addressed to Kerry Rossi.
Application deadline is September 5th. 
                                                         
Because mass is being served in the parish module and the school auditorium, it is imperative that ALL servers attend ALL training sessions.  Training sessions will be in August and September and will be posted in the church bulletin, the church website and through the Holy Spirit School website. All training will be at Holy Spirit School Auditorium.  We ask that the parents of new altar servers please stay during the training so you can fully understand the commitment needed. 

TRAINING
Training will be held on Saturday afternoons from 2pm-4pm in the auditorium on September 13, 20, and 27.  All servers are encouraged to attend as many as training sessions as you can, particularly new servers.  Serving in the auditorium is very different from serving in the church.  Once the church remodeling has been completed, there will be three training sessions in the church and altar servers will be notified.
