Scrip and Work Incentive Hours

Each month we will report those families that have completed all their scrip and work hour commitments for the year. If a family's name is not on this list it means that they still need to purchase scrip in the office or do their volunteer work before the commitment deadline of March 31 each year.

HSPS SCRIP AND WORK INCENTIVE

Work Incentive/Scrip Program

The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for school parents to be actively involved in their child’s education, to offset the deficit between tuition collected and the actual cost of operating the school and to give parents flexibility in choosing their service hours. Non-participation or failure to complete the required service hours and scrip commitment will result in alternative terms and conditions for future registration. All service hours and scrip purchases must be completed between April 1 and March 31.

Service Hours Program

  1. Each family is required to contribute a minimum of 25 service hours. 10 Hours must be for approved fundraising events at least 2 of which need to be for our Auction, our biggest fundraiser of the year, and the other 15 are of your choice.
  2. Only hours worked in Holy Spirit School or Holy Spirit Parish communities will fulfill the W.I.P. requirements.

Service Hours Reporting
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to record completed service hours on a report form available in the school office. Only parent/guardians may earn service hours.

Service Hours Alternative

Scrip Program Commitment
Each family will participate in the scrip program at a level of $2,000 per year. To bypass the scrip commitment, each family has the option to buy out at an additional $150 fundraising fee.
