Mrs. Faires was born and raised in Sacramento where she attended Our Lady of Assumption, Immaculate Conception and St. Francis High School. She earned an undergraduate and graduate degree from Seattle University. While raising her three children, she taught in public and Archdiocese of Seattle schools for 18 years. After her children had graduated from college and were gainfully employed, she returned to Sacramento and taught English at Loretto High School. Her 10 year administrative career includes Loretto High School, St. Francis High School, and St. Philomene. When not working, she enjoys reading, skiing and being with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Malaki, a lifelong Sacramentan with deep ties to Catholic education attended local Catholic grade and high school and earned a BA in English at CSUS.  She enjoyed an early career as a commercial property manager, a homemaker, and a caterer before beginning a fifteen year science teaching adventure at Holy Spirit Parish School.  The experience has been a tremendous gift as watching children grow into confident self-motivated learners remains a privilege. Leading outdoor overnight educational opportunities for the 6th, 7th and 8th graders has been one of her highlights.  In 2017, Mrs. Malaki moved into administration as an Assistant Principal and values the opportunity to work with students, parents and staff to make Holy Spirit Parish School a thriving learning environment.

Having taught 6th grade in the Diocese of Sacramento for 30 years – 12 years at Holy Spirit Parish School, Mr. LoGiudice enjoys sharing his passion of history as the middle school Social Science teacher. For the past 5 years he has also been a part of the administration team serving as the middle school Vice Principal. He has coached softball at St. Francis High School for 30 years and formerly served as Athletic Director for 25 years. His most favorite past time is traveling to Italy with his daughter every chance he gets, especially during the Christmas season.

From a very young age, Mrs. Wong knew she wanted to someday be a teacher! She loved the thought of being able to make a difference in someone’s life. She has been teaching at Holy Spirit Parish School for the past 28 years – with 24 years teaching the 3rd grade. For the past 4 years she has been our Educational Achievement Specialist (EAS) who supports our student community. She is also a part of our administration team for the past 7 years, as Vice Principal. Aside from teaching, Mrs. Wong enjoys Hawaii, dancing hula, gardening in her tropical backyard, spending time with her family and two golden retrievers. Mrs. Wong feels truly blessed to be a part of the Holy Spirit Parish School community, a place that is so close and dear to her heart.

Mrs. Glenn is beginning her 24th year of teaching in the Diocese of Sacramento – 12 years at Holy Spirit Parish School. She received her California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from the University of San Francisco in 1993. Since then, she has taught all grades from preschool up to 3rd Grade. She is the proud mother of three children, two sons currently at Christian Brothers High School (alumni of Holy Spirit), and a daughter in the 1st grade here at Holy Spirit.

Having graduated from Holy Spirit Parish School, Mrs. Blocker has many wonderful memories as a student taught by the Sisters of Mercy. She feels blessed to teach at her alma mater and makes certain her teaching is rooted in her Catholic faith. All five of her children graduated from Holy Spirit and she feels a deep connection to the school and parish community. She enjoys working with kindergarteners and wants her students to achieve the richest educational experience and to help them develop a lifelong passion to learn.

After graduating from Holy Spirit Parish School in 2006, Miss Orebaugh went to St. Francis High School and then to the University of California, Santa Barbara where she received her B.A. in Sociology. She is currently working on her M.A. in Education. Miss Orebaugh is passionate about elementary education and enjoys sharing her love of reading and writing with her first grade students.

Mrs. Deary has been at Holy Spirit Parish School for three years and is currently teaching 1st grade. She graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology, and is currently working on earning her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and M.A. in Education at the University of Phoenix. She is committed to providing her students a developmentally sound foundation of lifelong learning, and teaching them to be loving disciples of Jesus Christ.

Having sent four children to Holy Spirit Parish School, Mrs. Reed was a parent at Holy Spirit for 17 years. She has been teaching in the Diocese of Sacramento for 19 years - 11 years at Holy Spirit. She lives in the heart of Land Park and is an active parishioner of Holy Spirit Church.

Teaching Science has been his passion for 20 years – 15 years for the Diocese of Sacramento and this is his first year at Holy Spirit Parish School. Mr. Reyer received his B.S. in Physical Anthropology and in 1998 received his Chemistry credential. His two daughters are alumni of Holy Spirit and he values the Catholic education they received.

Mr. Kelly immigrated to the U.S. from Ireland in 1988 and began teaching in the Diocese of Sacramento in January 1989. He was the 8th grade teacher at All Hallows' School for 17 years, taught 7th grade at St. Robert's for 9 years, and is in his 4th year at Holy Spirit.

Mrs. Barnett graduated from Simpson University in Redding with her B.A. in Liberal Arts. After completing her B.A. she went on to obtain her multiple subject credential and single subject credential in mathematics also from Simpson University. Mrs. Barnett loves to inspire her students to see the beauty in math. When she is not teaching she enjoys gardening, sewing and playing with her daughter Tori (3).

Having attended Catholic school the majority of her life, Miss Tovar decided to return home and give back to the same community that shaped her. She is our newest faculty member teaching K-8th grade Spanish. After graduating from St. Francis High School in 2012, she went on to attend the University of San Diego, where she received a B.A. in Spanish. After completing her B.A., Maribel attended Georgetown University, where she received an M.S. in Physiology. She is excited to use material such as songs, pictures, and stories to engage the students in their learning of the Spanish language.

Mr. Maestretti has been teaching for 21 years – 15 years in the Diocese of Sacramento. This is his second year teaching 5th grade at Holy Spirit Parish School. He received his B.S. in Criminal Justice from CSU, Sacramento and went on to receive a M.S. in Sport Science and Management from US Sports Academy. He received his teaching credential in Social Science form Western Governors’ University. Mr. Maestretti is a devoted father of 4 children, a dedicated competitive soccer coach and administrator. When he is not teaching he loves to spend time in prayer with Our Lord, family and friends, preferably on the soccer field or golf course.
